Glenothes ace Callum gears up for his second season
Rennie has been gearing up for the beginning of the new season at the Cowdenbeath Racewall’s recent practice sessions.
Competitive racing will begin on May 22, and the town driver is aiming to build on a positive first year in the prostock basics when he moved from the white to the star grade by the end of the first grading period.

Hide AdRennie, who took to the grid last year in a Fiesta, sponsored by Arnold Clark, where he works as a mechanic, said: “I found the prostock basics an inexpensive way to get into stock car racing and it turned out to be a big learning experience for me.
"I found it important to get as much track time as is possible and the experience of racing against and with other drivers.”
It’s going to be a big year at the Racewall as track promoter, Gordon McDougall Promotions, celebrates its 40th year.
And Rennie is aiming to make an impact at some pretty high class events.

"It is to be run over two days and this time I will have to qualify for the final.
"If you have a bad heat then at least you have the chance of picking up some decent results in your other races.
"The points scored will determine where you start on the grid.

"Mind you, I ended up as the runner up, although I was the third car home.
“I Hope to be the first across the line this year.”
It’s been a lifetime association with the sport for Rennie who was given his first taste of the track when he was in nappies at just three months old.
He hasn’t looked back since.
“I get a lot of help from WRT Autos – they are now my main sponsor plus help from Fife Embroidery and Motorsport with Attitude,” he add.

"Without all the help, I don’t think I would be racing.”
This weekend will see the final practice sessions held before competitive business starts.
