A Glenrothes restaurant wants to create an outdoor seated area as it prepares to re-open.

Handi Restaurant and bar, in Woodside has applied to Fife Council for a relaxation agreement to allow it to operate outdoors.

The 80-seat premises wants to be able to operate alfresco during the summer.

In its application to the local authority owner Divendra Singh, of Glen Foods, said it was for use “during these difficult times of COVID restrictions during the summer months.”

Officers and councillors will consider the application in due course.
