Almost 200,000 Fifers - nearly two-thirds of people in the region - have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.

Public Health Scotland data shows 192,235 residents had received their first jag by April 13.

That was up 1% from 190,601 a week earlier.

It means 62% of people aged 16 and over in Fife have now received their first dose, using the latest Scottish population estimates.

That was an increase of 4% from 2.6 million the week before.
